Join us on Sunday 18 September 2016 at 4:30pm for the official ICTMM 2016 Opening Ceremony. Kick off the Congress with a welcome from the ASP and ASID followed by a traditional Indigenous Welcome to Country. Then four of our most illustrious and entertaining scientists; Peter O’Donoghue, Michael Good, Charlene Willis, and David Jenkins, will be discussing topical tropical medicine, the convoluted evolution of malaria vaccine strategies, and the many weird and wonderful parasites and the scientists who love them – an event not to be missed!

For an additional $17.50 you can add a koala cuddle experience to your Congress Dinner ticket. Koala photos must be pre-purchased online through the ICTMM 2016 registration from. Please note Koala photos cannot be purchased at the Congress dinner.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to dance and dine with colleagues and friends at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 130 koalas. Whilst immersed in a wildlife sanctuary, guests will enjoy a traditional Aussie BBQ and drinks. Attendees will be treated to a private wildlife encounter with Australian animals.

Students registered for ICTMM 2016 are all welcome to attend our ASID & ASP Early Career Researcher Breakfast Event on the first morning of the conference, Monday 19th September from 7:00am – 8:00am at the Conference Venue. Breakfast will be available from 7:00am -7:20am followed by networking activities. All students attending the conference are welcome to attend, but numbers are limited so please register early  for this free event.
